Not Yet Rated Zune won't add music.

Maybe I can get some answers here, because I'm absolutely stumped. My Zune 30 has been regularly deleting songs off of my device, so instead of going through and seeing which songs were missing (I had over 450 songs), I just deleted them all and planned on just putting everything back on. WELL. After about four hours of cussing and wanting to break the thing in half, it somehow managed to add most of the songs by itself while it was synching. But there's one problem. It skipped over one artist completely, and left out a handful of other songs. I tried to add the songs by hand, but that didn't work. It'd sync, but the song would stay in my library. I restarted the Zune, restarted the software, and restarted the computer. I've tried everything I know of. I can't even find anything about it on Zune's FAQ site. Nothing helps. I'd like to have those songs back...I listen to them all the time.

I guess I'll try to figure this out by myself...may end up with a paperweight by the time I'm done but at least I tried.

It's every song I own from one artist, and a handful of other songs from artists I already have on the device. The software recognizes that they're there, but I can't drag and drop them to add to my device.

Join Date: Dec 31, 2008 Post Count: 75   JP SylvrWolfe User Options View All Posts By JP SylvrWolfe View JP SylvrWolfe's Stats     That sounds like something that happened to me once.  During a sync, a glitch forced a failure to sync, and suddenly all those songs that I was syncing (various artists) became corrupted. If you can still play them, I suggest burning them to CD and re-ripping them after deletion.
