Not Yet Rated Zune frozen on "loading" screen

Join Date: Dec 31, 2008 Post Count: 10   eande_design User Options View All Posts By eande_design View eande_design's Stats     I read on another forum that Microsoft is aware of the issue.  Apparently it is a 'GLOBAL" occurance.  One person indicated that they were on the phone for a couple of hours waiting on technical support.  Obviously the few people who are at work today are being overwhelmed with calls.  Mr. Gates can afford to pay for their services though.  If anyone gets a remedy, please let us know...I will be checking as well.

WTF??!! extreme weather conditions. Microsoft needs to get this fixed.

Join Date: Dec 31, 2008 Post Count: 1   airforce_finest User Options View All Posts By airforce_finest View airforce_finest's Stats     weird cuz this seems like a "global zune crisis" because lately miy zune has been workn perfect then 2 days a go it startd freezin up and last night i plugged my zune up to the computer just hoping it would just automatically turn on since i turnd it off but this morning i seen it frozen on the start up screen ZUNE and the white bar is bacially all the way shown but its not doing nuuthin and wen u listen to the zune u kno put it up to u so u can hear tha computer sounds inside everything is frozen so tell me y is everyone zune crashing at the same time around the same time and 1 person says it does it all the time around December 31st and the weirdest thing is today is December 31st and im lookn at all these post that is written on today from either early this morninng at 7:50 am to this one..................somebody or zune better get to explain y this is happenin and i dont wana talk wit any foreign man telln me hold on let me look it up and later on the only advice he has is restart your zune by holding down the back and down butto, when i believe basically everyone on here either heard of that or did it but i want to know just the simple question: WHY ARE ALL THE ZUNES FREEZIN UP NOW AND AROUND DECEMBER 31st??????????

Join Date: Dec 31, 2008 Post Count: 1   lynnredbug User Options View All Posts By lynnredbug View lynnredbug's Stats     It must be a virus or a big screw up on the firmware.  I, too, have the exact same problem. I got my Zune 30 Factory Refurb since Oct 2007.  It locked up once in a while but this is the first time it doesn't respond to any command.  Same situation as everybody here, this morning, out of the blue, the Zune booted up and froze on the logo screen.  I can hear the harddisk spining.  The progress bar is full.  The screen lit up.

Planned obsolescence? Maybe they are just trying to drive traffic to this forum? Or perhaps, this is that famous millenium bug hitting 9 years too late?
