So here I am, enjoying my new, 1 month old Zune 8GB my wife sent to me while I'm in the desert. I was transferring albums to my Zune with Zune software on my laptop when I hear the "Dee-Dum" sound Windows makes when a USB item has been disconnected. I quickly glanced over to my Zune to see the screen go black.
I disconnected the sync cabe and tried to manually power it up with the play button, but it just wouldn't start up. I know it had a full charge on it because I always keep it in the charging cradle.
Anway, I got on Microsoft's support page and tried all the button pushing antics, but to no avail... my Zune just won't power up.
I left my Zune in the charging cradle overnight in hopes that perhaps it was a dead battery. The next morning I tried to power it up and nothing happened. Tried all the button pushing according to MS, but it was hopeless.
So, my Zune won't power up anymore and the PC doesn't recognize it when the Zune is plugged in with the sync cable. Yes, I've tried all the ports too. I charge it directly from a power outlet as well.
Unfortunately, I have about 20 more days before I come back to the US to be able to send this in. There's not much to do out here except listen to tunes and without my new Zune, I feel like my favorite friend just died.... (T_T)
Anyone have any tips, ideas? I'd appreciate it.
