Zune 30 not working - New Zune 80 not working

Hoping someoe can help me.  I've had the Zune 30 for about 3 years and have loved it.  Experienced the prob. into the New Year briefly but resolved that quickly  and no issues after that.   Suddenly I went to go use it and it has a message "Connect to your PC" - Step2....  I've try to resync but getting error; It will reset my Zune, sit as if it's going to do something - then nothing.

I've tried:   Checking driver on Device Mgr. Reseting (hard and soft);  Removing and re-adding software on my computer ( Windows XP).  I've tried many suggestions and finally assumed it was the Zune ( god excuse to upgrade to the Zune 80)

But now can't get my 80 to do anything;  I open the Zune software; when I connect my Zune my computer responds " found new hardware"  but the Zune software does not recognize my device.   Any thoughts?

Well I went through the threads since i did not receive any replies, and tried several times many of the sugestions provided. I finally got my 80 working but the 30 seems "dead in the water". It's a shame because I'm sure it is still functional, just can't figure out how to get it to work.  When attempting to update it the Zune software keeps coming back with error message CDOO1239 or something like that

I'm getting the same problem with my Zune, I only have the 30 gig so I am really angry right now all my music is on there!!!!
