If you watch videos on YouTube or Google, this plugin for IE7 is a must have:
YouTube Google Video downloader for Zune

It is a SourceForge beta download. I've used it a bunch of times...works well, not much feedback of any that it actually doing anything...but it works!

YOU...ARE...MY...HERO

I've been downloading from google video with no problems, just download for iPod/PSP and let the Zune software do the work for you. However, there's a ton of stuff on YouTube that I want and cannot find in a d'lable format. I'm downloading this as I type.

Now that Viacom is raising a stink over some of the stuff I want so badly, I'm in a hurry to get downloading.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I've been using video downloaders on Firefox--it's nice to have more options.

Firefox has a downloader for YouTube? Is it free? Where can I find it?

That is, if you don't mind kissing and telling. LOL

I use Ook? Video Ook! on Firefox. I know, really strange name, but this Firefox add-on works really well. If you run Firefox, go to your Tools menu, click Add-ons, there will be a link to Get Extensions. Click it and look for the Ook downloader. Works with Google Video and YouTube. Probably others, have not tried.

I'll have to check it out. I haven't updated my add-ons for Firefox in a while and have been meaning to take a look at the newer stuff.

My only complaint is that I don't like the codecs used for most of the stuff on YouTube and other sites. FLV looks crummy. But I guess if you really want it, it's better than nothing.
