To turn off the zune completely all you do is hold down the Back button while holding down the Down button for about 4 seconds, it will then power down.

Have you disabled your wifi? I can't believe just how much battery that drains. It's insane.

Yeah, holding play pause is standby mode, it still drains battery, until 24 hours when it goes off completly.

It sounds like slightly complicated controls for powering down, but I suppose it keeps the Zune from accidentally shutting off when you have it in your pocket or something.

It's not a big deal, really. I actually like it because it means you don't have to wait for it to power down on its own like the ipod.

Thanks for the quick reply...I almost took it back the first week I had it due to this.

FYI...I am pro videographer and I own hundreds of background video loops that are high quailty. I thought that people might be inerested in downloading a few the see if they like them. Where would i go to post them to be dowloaded.

Depends, how large are the files?

If they are too large I can set up a special FTP account for you to upload them to the ZuneUser.com server. If they are small you can put them in a ZIP file and attach them to the thread
