What are you downloading?

I'm building a mini library of NPR podcasts because it's difficult for me to listen to my favorite shows when they air. I've also been grabbing hubby's favs for the same reason.

What I don't have is much comedy and I'd like to snag some of that. Any recommendations?

Audio comedy, or video? Are you looking for standup routines, or just regular audio comedy? I think most of Stephen Lynch's work is pretty funny (adult humor) and he's a pretty talented musician also.

Audio and video. I'll have to check out Stephen Lynch; I'm not quite sure who he is. (I'll probably get it when I see a pic or spend a few minutes listening.)

I like interviews, NPR podcasts, some instructional stuff (music instruction and foreign language), and some sermons from my church that are offered as podcasts.

Where do you get the foreign language instruction podcasts? I have CD's that I've ripped and would love to supplement them.

Well, I'm an iTunes user, and I just did a search on the podcasts section of iTunes. They are free, and I found French and Spanish instruction, as well and some German and Russian. It's not like what you could buy at a bookstore, but I got some value out of them.

Thanks. I'm sending the kids off in search of the free podcasts. May as well have them do something useful on the computer.

I listen to a bunch of "educational" stuff. My school has a bunch of podcasts of visiting lecturers, performers, etc.

In college, I used to record my lecture classes on my minidisc recorder, then listen to them in the car during long drives. It sure beat going over notes anyday of the week.

I sent the family on a hunt and they turned up this index of Spanish learning audiocasts. Very cool and the narrator has much more charisma than the one on the CD's I ripped.
