You can Download New Zune Software and New Firmware for Zune 30GB. It is better than old one. Firmware is same as Zune 80(Zune 2) and I like software much easier to use than V1.

Download Here.

Why don't you try actually going to their official forums and read what Cesar and the rest of the Zune product team are saying. I've done my homework so it's your turn to do yours, you know the link to the official site so sign up and go to the forums then tell me how silly I and the rest of the Zune owners are.

At first I liked the new look of the upgrades. I still like the look on the Zune, although I have found some problems. It seems when I play music the album information will be wrong even though it is correct on my computer. I am sure that will get fixed through upgrades. One thing that I was a little disappointed in was the software for the computer. I have always liked the zune software was so close to the Windows Media Player, and so easy to use, but I don't like the new software. There are a lot of things that I have not figured out how to do yet or even if you can. I can't just right click on a tag and do whatever I want, I still have not figured out how to "find album info". A lot of my tags have copied themselves in my software. Two tags, one will be linked to the track, the other won't be linked to anything, but have :30 sec. of the track on it. Maybe once I get comfortable with the software and Microsoft fixes a few problems I will like it more. I really like that Microsoft can change so much on the Zune with just a firmware change, I like that.

^Dont be silly. I did my upgrades on Tuesday morning and it has been working beautifully ever since. If people are pissed off it's because they don't know what they are doing yourself included.

Nice assumption, I do know what I'm doing and I'm pretty sure at least half the mass at the official Zune forums do as well. Funny even Microsoft acknowledges the problems and are working on fixes, so does that mean they don't know what they are doing as well? Just because yours is fine doesn't mean there isn't a problem so I'd appreciate it if you'd get the facts before jumping to conclusions that you obviously know squat about.

I don't suggest people get the upgrade at all, they cause too many problems! If you go to the official Zune.net forums (must be logged in to access them) you'll see everyone who did the upgrade is pretty pissed off.

I have several files that were on my zune and now it refuses to let me put them on as well as other mp3's. MS is aware of the problem but when the fix will come is anyones guess.

So, in a nutshell I suggest holding off until the upgrade is known to work properly or else you'll be be tempting to throw it out of frustration.

In a nutshell, if you know what you are doing then you shouldn't have any problems. My only problem is trying to find an 80gig in stock to purchase. I am selling my 30 to help pay for the 80 gig. I hear the 80gig also includes a $25 gift card for Zune products as well.
