Hey there. I stumbled across Zune player the other day online. It is a very good program but it took a long while to install. In addition to downloading a setup file I had to download more files online. I hated that. I want to know if Microsoft plans to make the Zune player capable of playing AVIs, MPEGs and MPGs, MOVs. I love my videos and I like them in the file they are in already. Yes I download video files but I also notice that WMV is competing with AVIs, MPEGs, MPGs and MOVs and that's a problem because I am not allowed to play these files as far as I know. Is there any site I can go to to get codecs or some additional files to play the forementioned files? I love Zune but don't to be restricted to certain files. I love all media and want to play them from the same interface. I noticed that the WMV file quality isn't as good as the AVIs, MPEGs, and MPGs and MOVs. What is going on with Microsoft and do they have plans for and all in one media player with Zune? I would really hate to go back to my WMP11. Soo boring!
One more thing...How do I play videos within the Zune main interface? When I double click video files and even audio files they open a different interface and the playlist section is not shown. It's just a dark screen with the video or in the case of mp3s/other music files it's just a visualization. What must I do? Please someone come to my rescue! HELP!!! Please reply soon!
