do you have the zune software

if you do just go into the zune program
find the " settings" on the top right hand corner

you will have to go under software
and collections

there you can modify the folders zune will monitor

click add folder in music or any other category
and locate the folder that your music is in...
once done click OK
and you should be able to see your music in the collections collum
then just connect the player and sync
hope it helps

Hi Fred,

Thanks for your reply.  I've done what you suggested and it still isn't working.  Can I save from RealPlayer to zune??

hello!

it isnt so much saving content from one program to another, instead it is allowing the program to access song files.

say, if your music is in the folder titled "my music" then that is where all of your songs are stored. now what you have to do is allow zune to access this folder.  like fred said, you have to add the folder that the songs are in.  make sure you have selected the correct folder that your content is in.

zune works for most song formats, but there might be a possibility zune does not recognize them, but this is unlikely...

when you are on real player, try going to File - Open.  this should take you to the folder where your content is stored (i.e. my music).

once you find that folder, look at the name of it, then go into the zune program settings and click the "add folder" button under the music section, or pictures, or which ever type of content you are trying to add.  then select the folders where your content is that real player also uses to access the content.

let me know if you get stuck on a step and i'll try to help you a little better

Fred,
Thank You!
I've had my Zune for several days now and have NOT been able to figure out how to load music on it from "my music" on my computer.
You have made it so easy for me to understand. I'm an idiot, just not a 'complete' one.
I'm retireing sone and bought a Zune for my tunes while riding my cruiser motorcycle across the country.
I got as far (with your help) as the, "Once done click OK..." instruction.
I'll go now and try to do the rest of it.
Thanks again, Larry (wingcruiser)

Oops, Fred I think I'm still stuck...
Where do I find the "collections column? I have my Zune connected and I'm signed in...
In the upper left after signing in it says, (in heavy letters) "collection" and on the same line in lighter type (not bold) "marketplace, social, device. On the next line it says, (in bold type) "music" (and in the lighter type again)
videos, pictures,podcasts, channels"
Nothing happens when I try to click on "collections".

Also what does "sync" or syncing" mean?
Larry (wingcruiser)
