Hey, I am new to this site, hope everyone can help me. I have an original zune 30 got it when it first came out, I just recently moved and am not using the same computer I was using for my zune so I had to re set everything up. I havent updated my zune software in a long time so I updated it to the version 3 software. Wow am I having problems now, basically I can not sync my music to zune player from my pc. The music was on an external hard drive it would recognize the music as being there and the software would play it but it would not sync it, at all. So I moved my music from my external drive to the main hard drive which irritated me kind of purpose of havin an external hard drive I have 230 albums takes up lots of space and the music started to sync it once it was moved to the main c drive the transfer was interrupted though the computer accidentally got shut down. Now it does not recognize the music even on the c drive. All the music is on the main drive it is in monitored folders in the supported formats. The software again recognizes the music as being there but it will not sync to my player at all! Also I have the new batman movie the dark knight I went to make a digital copy of it for my zune and its in the supported wmv format and it will  not sync it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the zune version 3 software twice still will not sync. Spent about 3 hours on the phone with zune customer support. As of right now my zune player is a glorified walkman as the only thing I can do with it is listen to the radio. PLEASE HELP!

all i know is usually when the music is synced to your computer and the monitered folders from the zune software sync to your collection you have to sync each change for it to sync to the device. for example, you create or add songs to a playlist under collection, then under music. Once you make those changes, you have to right click the playlist title or whatever files changes you made under the playlist category and click "sync to "..........." which for me is my name. That way I know my device name compared to anything else. Hope this helps.

Manually re-add them all to your device.

OR

Set your device to "sync only what I choose", let it sync for a bit, then reset it to "sync ALL music".  That should have it grabbing all the music you have.

As far as the failure to recognize your music...that's a software error caused by the computer crashing mid-sync.  Now ZUNE assumes ALL that music is corrupted.  You'll have to uninstall the software, GET RID OF THE ZUNE FOLDER ENTRELY, and make sure the other data relating to ZUNE is gone as well.

Re-install once complete.

I'd go with "manual re-adding".
