Goodbye Microsoft. This is the last issue I can take. Vista sucks! Zune sucks!. I'm starting 2009 with a new iPod. You have ripped me off for the last time. You will end up the General Motors of the PC highway.

MY ZUNE30 IS ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!
jan 1, 2009; 6pm philippine standard time

THE ANSWER IS SOOOOOOO SIMPLE.
>DRAIN THE BATTERY of your zune
>CHANGE THE DATE of your computer *forward the date eg.jan 2, 2009
>RE-CONNECT to your computer >FULLY RECHARGE it then...
>TADA! YOUR COMPUTER WILL NOW RECOGNIZE YOUR ZUNE AND
CONNECT IT TO YOUR ZUNE SOFTWARE...

i hope this solves other troubled zune users...
*bye trashbin, my zune now works!

I have been going throug this with zune for a mounth, the first time I had to send it back they sent it back unfixed, when I got intouch with them they ntold me I tampered with it, I explained I was a grown man and could not even began to tampered with it (theres only one hole), then after trying to talk to someone who spoke english, they took it back, and it worked for a few months, Then after downloading the new software it stopped respoding, I called and they sent out another box, I got it back the day after christmas, after buying two others for my family, Now Im in the prosses of waiting for my new box from Fedex, I think its this freezing thing. I think I shoud be compensatied for going to work for a mounth with no music.

I have had my new iPod for several days now and I love it. Thank you Apple. It is new to me but it is so easy to use. My old Zune is on eBay if anyone wants to buy it.

Now I need to sell my Vista piece of junk pc. It will be put on eBay also. My new Macbook is fun to use and seems very stable. The interface is a little different but I am very pleased so far.

it's sad that you are so short tempered when it comes to this, it almost breaks my heart!  did you know that virtually every car on the road today has had some form of recall on it?  that does not mean it isnt a good vehicle though.

if you havent sold your zune on ebay yet, i would be glad to help you with it so you dont end up loosing hundreds of dollars on it, when it is still a good device.  if you have a little patience i am willing to help you with it.

Seems a month has gone by and he doesn't want you help. If your offer is still open, "I" could use it.
I have some very basic questions about my Zune.
One of my largest complaints is the fact these things don't come with instructions on how to run them. No pictures of the unit to tell ya even what the buttons do.
On this site I see chatter about "Zune 1 and Zune 2". I have no idea of which I have. I bought an "8GB Zune". That's about all I know. The "help" section of the page that comes you when you plug in your Zune (yes, I registered and all that) it talks about to put music on it, to drag it to 'the Zune icon". No mention of where it is or what it looks like.

Like queenkiwinc, sometimes I'd like to throw all things Microsoft under the bus. So far I've resisted that. I just biught a new 'notebook" laptop. I looked and looked for one with Win XP and not Vista. Found one!

Well kjkolko, still think you can help?  lol
I'd appreciate it if you'd try.

Hi Larry, I hope i can help. The Zune 1 tends to refer to the 1st generation zune and zune 2 can either refer to the 2gb Zune or the 2nd generation Zune (which would include the Zune 8gb). To use the download music to the Zune you will need to download the Zune software from zune.net. Some information of purchasing music, playing songs, syncing, etc can be found at http://www.zune.net/en-us/support/usersguide/yourzune/default.htm

If you need more assistance please fell free to ask.
