Hi - at my wits end with my Zune and desparate to try anything to fix it before I buy a new one !!. I have 30 gig that is 2 years old - up until last weekend worked fine never an issue that I could not fix. During a slideshow of pictures the device froze. Tried to do the back button and up trick to no avail. Managed to turn the device off and then back on only to get the dreaded Error 5 message. Called tech support and was given the reference 927001. Herein lies my problem - the battery is dead - I am able to plug it in to charge ( not connected error appears on my PC ) The Zune screen comes up - I then disconned and start the process - I am able to get to step 2 where the please wait screen appears - after waiting 15 min or so battery dies. I can never get to the clearing content stage. Should I not disconnect from the PC ?- should I keep the device plugged in to an external wall charger ? Also about how long should it be before the clearing content message appears.
Thanks in advance help on fixing this issue - I am having RHCP withdrawl !!!
