Hi guys i'm back. having received zero response on my last post i did a little homework and kinda answered my own question. Audiobooks are protected by DRM which prevents conversion to a zune acceptable format, the posts i have read here suggest that if i download the audiobook and burn to cd/dvd? then i can rip in any format?? my library states that this is not possible because of the type of protection being used. i haven't yet attempted this but wondered if the method discussed will in fact apply to audiobooks? i am a little disapointed with the zune because of the limitations of the product. no ability to bookmark is a huge let down, i thought i was upgrading from my zen photo when i purchased the zune...apparently this was not the case, the zen is much much more versatile, it even allows fast fwd/fast replay to find passages. zune just skips to preset points it seems which is pretty useless if you just want to replay a passage/tune of choice. I made the transition to zune because of creative zens problems with vista...now i think those problems are minor compared with zunes huge deficits....will microsoft ever update their software for the zune to overcome the shortfalls of what otherwise is a nice product? sorry to rain so much critique on my new zune 30gb
