Adding Video to your Zune, having a hardtime

We have gone thru the tutorial and are getting very frustrated. We have not been able to successfully add a video to our new zune. What am i missing?

are you sure the videos that you are trying to add are in wmv format?

I am checking right now. Are they convertable? Is there a place that i can get a video to atleast makes sure that i have the right process going on?

yes they are convertible but it requires a third party software, i have yet to find any free ones but i was lucky enough that most of my videos were already in wmv format.

google magic dvd ripper and download it, set it to the ipod setting (this is mp4 which the zune software understands), and you can open and close the program 5 times with the trial w/o a serial....which is a lot better than the 5min thing for most.....then convert, and add into your library, and presto

My mpeg4's weren't sync'ing automatically. I ended up creating a video playlist and dragging that to the manual sync. Worked like a charm.

I dont know if this helps anyone but i have tryed winavi. It it converts dvd to avi and wmv and any video to avi wmv. It works very well, im watching superman returns on my zune right now!!

I've finally found a good vid converter program that is free! It installs with all needed codecs etc. It has worked well for the three or four files I've needed to convert. The developer's site is:
SUPER ? .

The program isn't super fancy...right-click in the program window to bring up a menu. Hope this helps!!
