Okay, here's the deal: I got a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, with Vista Home Premium Edition, and I have a 1st generation 30GB Zune MP3 player.
I try installing the Zune software on my laptop, and I get a nice little message, "Zune is not currently supported by this operating system," and they show picture of an Asian person getting hurt, next to the message (OWW!! MY KNEE!!!) Notice how they refrain from saying exactly, "Zune is not compatible with Windows Vista" ...
Are there any drivers I can find, download, and install to get my Zune to work with Vista, or is Mygrosoft keeping us out in the cold on this one? I mean, both applications were made by them! Are they giving up on Zune and Vista?!
I just got this laptop, and I'd really like to find out how to make my Zune work with Vista, rather than downgrading to XP; aside from compatibility issues, Vista's really fast, and in many cases, makes on-screen text more legible, among other things.
P.S. My Creative ZEN works just fine with Vista, though I have to use the included software, as opposed to the good 'ol drag-and-drop method I could use with Windows XP; *sigh* when companies like to upgrade things, how do they always manage to leave out things that made the previous generation great? (I'm talking about YOU, Vista!)
Little help?
