Zune Originals: Make it your own

When Microsoft introduced the Zune they wanted the consumer to be able to make it personal.  The Zune was created for the user to personalize in several unique ways.  In plain English, if there are five Zune 80GB sitting on the table everyone will know who's is who's with just a glance.

The first way to make the Zune your own is to have the Zune laser engraved with the artwork you choose from Zune Originals.  There are over 40 designs to choose from.  The Artist Series was designed by 18 artists from around the world.  The artwork is phenomenal.

Some of the artists in the Zune collaboration include Mike Perry, Steve Wilson, and Parskid.  Others are Pierre Marie, Swak, and Iosefatu Sua.  They range from Oriental in design to more of a hippie type look.  The abstracts are unique and intriguing.

Along with the artwork from these famous artists, you can design your own tattoo for your Zune. You can custom design your Zune complete with text.  There are over 40 designs to choose from.  The message you want can be engraved on the back.

You can also name your Zune.  This will make it easier to recognize in the Zune software.  By naming your Zune any time your friends want to send something to you they can easily find you in the network.  This makes it easier for them to recognize who you are when you send them pictures and songs too.  The name you choose for your Zune can be any combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.

Another cool thing which allows you to personalize your Zune is the wallpaper.  You can set the background screen to what you choose.  Once you have saved the picture you want on your PC, you can load it onto your Zume.  It is a simple matter of selecting the picture and selecting the option of “Apply as Background” to have it as your background image.  Choosing a picture of yourself and setting it to background will really make sure the Zune you own will be recognized as yours.

Zune also allows you to go in and change the display settings.  The backlight can be set for a certain time interval or set to constantly on.  The longer your backlight is on the faster your Zune battery will need charged.  You can set the backlight to be on for as little as 5 seconds.  The brightness can also be set to low, medium, or high.  Again the less brightness the longer the battery life.

The entire Zune experience is a personal one to share with family and friends.  You can share pictures, pod casts, songs, and even home made videos.  Anyone on the Zune network is set up to share the experience with you.  It is a truly unique experience for everyone.  The Zune is becoming more and more popular with every feature it offers.  With the ability to make it your own the Zune is one of the best PMD's on the market.
